Hua Hin is a seaside resort located 230 km south of Bangkok on the west coast of the Gulf of Thailand. It has about 80,000 inhabitants. Hua Hin is a charming town, elegant and quiet.
Hua Hin ThaïlandeC’est there that in 1920, King Rama VII built a summer palace, creating the vogue of Hua Hin as a favorite retreat of the Thai aristocracy during the summer heat of Bangkok. Today, the Royal family still resides in Hua Hin part of the year. If foreign tourists are more numerous every year, Hua Hin remains a popular destination for Thais, the prestige it conveys.
Hua Hin is known for its traditional fishing port, seafood restaurants and a beautiful sandy beach that stretches for three kilometers from a rocky promontory, and curves gently, after wearing, to hills topped by Buddhist temples in the south end; but also for its jazz festival, which takes place every year in June. And cultural life of the city is growing: in early 2010 was inaugurated a 30-hectare arts complex, “Vic Hua Hin”, which includes a theater of 320 seats indoors and several areas of original artistic performances and walks, outside.
City with a cozy and authentic atmosphere, Hua Hin does not offer less diversified commercial offer. In addition to essential markets day and night, Hua Hin has two major shopping malls: Market Village, where you will find a Cineplex, a bowling alley and a supermarket (Tesco Lotus) and Sailom Pavilion shopping mall at the traditional charm, ideal if you are looking for decoration for your home or gift ideas. You will not miss either of activities: Hua Hin and its surroundings have the most beautiful golf courses in Thailand (no less than 8 courses in the area). You can enjoy horse riding, diving or fishing, or go kayaking on the beautiful Canal du Khao Deng.
Indeed, the area of Hua Hin, Petchaburi in the north to Prachuap Khiri Khan in the South, full of beautiful scenery (we quote the Kaen Krachan National Park, 75km north west of Hua Hin, considered one of the places the most picturesque in Thailand), where you can spend the day, or you escape several days, the region is well endowed with charming hotels and restaurants.
